Command introduced before JUNOSe Release 7.1.0.
Release Information
Specifies the frequency at which existing LSPS are checked for better paths. RSVP-TE
Description
adds a random number in the range 0–60 seconds to the specified value to prevent
all LSPs from being reoptimized simultaneously. The no version restores the default
value, 3600 seconds.
NOTE: Low timer values lead to frequent reoptimization of LSPs, which is undesirable
for the following reasons:

Frequent changes to the LSPs increases packet loss.
Frequent reoptimization increases the load on the router, especially when the
router acts as the LSP head end. The load is particularly noticeable in a scaled
network, resulting in high CPU utilization on the router.
traffic-eng Specifies optional keyword for compatibility with non–E Series
implementations
seconds Number of seconds in the range 0–604800; a value of zero means that
no reoptimization is performed
