Function of the BBS module

Function of the BBS module
The broadband source (BBS) module, covers two different wavelengths:
• from 1260 to 1640 nm with the 81BBS2A
• from 1460 to 1640 nm with the 81BBS1A.
They are used to measure the attenuation profile, chromatic dispersion and PMD of
optical fibers.
