Complete Chassis installation (refer to Chassis user documentation). Power on the Chassis. Verify mA-3011 Gb Ethernet (GbE) LED flashes once, then stays lit during power on process. Connect an Ethernet cable to the mA-3011 GbE Connector and verify the mA-3011 GbE LED turns green. -

The mA-3011 Module is shipped from the factory with a Linux operating system installed in the module. When used as a host controller, the mA-3011 operates much like a computer running a Linux operating system. Refer to the section titled S e t u p H o s t <XREF>for additional information. -

The Chassis Web Browser UI provides access to mA-3011 information and readings. When the mA-301x is installed in a VIAVI AXIe Chassis, the Chassis Web Browser UI also provides users with the ability to update the Module's operating system. Refer to Chassis user documentation for instructions to access the Chassis Web Browser UI. -

BIOS Setup The mA-3011 BIOS settings have been set to values which allow the mA-3011 to operate at optimal performance levels. Users should not change BIOS settings unless instructed to do so by VIAVI AvComm Customer Service.
