MUSIC-ON-HOLD FOR CALL-ROUTING TABLES
Inter-Tel Axxess Call Processing manages the audio connections for incoming Public Switched
Telephone Network (PSTN) calls. Currently, when a device places a call on hold, the trunk set-
tings determine how it provides hold audio for the outside party. This determination is based
on the settings at the Central Office (CO) trunk group to which the trunk resides. The settings
include "Music-On-Hold," "Audio on Transfer to Ring," "Audio on Transfer to Hold," and
"Audio on Hold for Transfer Announcement." Each of these fields allows for various options,
including Silence, Tick Tone, Ringback, Board, Music-On-Hold, and Use Next Device's Audio
Source. See
Call Processing (CP) v11.0 modifies this functionality such that CO trunk calls routed through
Call Routing Tables (CRTs) use the matching CRT entry's "Music-On-Hold Profile" to over-
write the settings at the CO Trunk Group. See "Music-On-Hold for Call-Routing Tables" on
page 5-98
CALLER ID FORWARDING
Caller ID forwarding allows Call Processing (CP) to send Caller ID information from any
incoming services to the public or private network using Primary Rate Interface (PRI) or Basic
Rate Interface (BRI) Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) circuits. In the European
market Caller ID is known as Calling Line Identification [CLID]. When Caller ID is enabled,
the system includes information that identifies the caller to the public or private network. For
additional information, see the following locations in the manual:
OAI Caller ID Control
System OAI Level 2 Toolkit v9.3 has been enhanced to support Caller ID Forwarding by add-
ing the <Caller_ID_Number> and <Caller_ID_Name> fields to the syntax of the command
string. For details, refer to the latest version of the System OAI Toolkit Specifications Manual,
document part no. 835.2615.
