INTER-TEL
AXXESS
4.98 AC-ringing off-premises stations can be connected directly to the SLA circuit (external
HVRA Units, power supplies, and ring generators are not needed).
NOTE:
sage waiting lamps are installed on SLAs, the lamps do not function. However, single-line sets
can be configured in DB Programming to receive audible message waiting tones.
4.99 Each SLA, whether used for single-line sets or DID trunks or both, is powered by its
own AC transformer. Also, SLAs have two self-correcting thermistors. If a short circuit causes
a thermistor to open, it automatically closes when the short is removed.
NOTE:
should be used for voice mail and automated attendant functions, rather than using SLA cir-
cuits.
Analog Keyset Card (AKSC)
4.100 Each AKSC provides up to eight circuits for connecting analog phones to the system.
(See
desired, the IMX 8-Line Dual-Circuit AIM Phones can be installed two to a circuit on AKSCs.
4.101 AKSCs have eight self-correcting thermistors (one for each circuit) to protect the sys-
tem from damage due to a short circuit in the station cabling. If a short circuit causes a ther-
mistor to open, it automatically closes when the short is removed.
NOTE:
the Inter-Tel phone system.
4.102 Each AKSC has a green LED (CARD ON-LINE) to indicate the card's functional readi-
ness and a yellow LED (CIRCUIT BUSY) to indicate if any circuit on the card is busy (see

of the card to help prevent electromagnetic interference.
Executone Keyset Card (EKSC)
NOTE:
4.103 Each EKSC provides up to 12 circuits for connecting Executone IDS equipment to the
system. IDS equipment includes Model 160, 64, 32, 18, and 12 Phones, Agent Terminals, and
48-key DSS Consoles.
4.104 EKSCs have self-correcting thermistors on each circuit to protect the system from dam-
age due to a short circuit in the station cabling. If a short circuit causes a thermistor to open, it
automatically closes when the short is removed.
4.105 The EKSC also provides a secondary audio path supported on all 12 circuits.
4.106 The 48-key DSS Consoles supported by the EKSC require a separate circuit and their
cabling is separate from the associated phone's cabling.
4.107 The EKSC is equipped with a single Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to provide system
resources for allocating shared speakerphones and DTMF receivers.
