B. DATABASE RESTORE
Poor line quality may cause data transmission problems when the modem connection
exceeds 19200 baud. For this reason, Inter-Tel does not recommend using the CPC modem
to restore the database. If you attempt a restore using the modem, the database may
become corrupt.
11.3 When this option is selected, the window shown below appears. It allows you to restore
the database to disk during a programming session.
If the Database Restore feature is used during a remote programming session, all calls are
disconnected except the modem connection. Before restoring the database, ensure that the
circuit card being used for the modem connection will not be reconfigured during the restora-
tion (changed to a different type of card).

Restore From: Enter the name of the file where the database was saved in this box. Or,

to locate the file.
Browse
Start: To begin the operation, select

Cancel: To stop an operation before it is completed, select

Canceling a restore operation will cause the system to default the database and ter-
minate the programming session.
If the number of multi-protocol endpoints in the database being restored exceeds
the number indicated in the license, an error message appears, and the database is
not restored. (This applies to software versions 8.1 and later.)
If the premium features enabled in the database being restored do not match the
premium features available in the software license, an error message appears, and
the system is inoperative. (This applies to software versions 8.0 and later.)
If the database being restored requires more Premium Feature units than the sys-
tem can support, you will see a warning message and the system will be inopera-
tive. (This applies to software versions 7.0 and earlier only.)
If the database being restored contains Voice Processor information and the sys-
tem does not have an operating Voice Processor, you will see a warning message
and no Voice Processor information will be loaded during the restore operation.
