Review and Update for Enabling a Voice Processor

2.11 Inter-Tel Axxess platforms support any of the following voice processors: Enterprise
Messaging (EM), an Embedded Voice Mail Card (EVMC), or a Voice Processing Unit (VPU).
And, for proper configuration, DB Programming requires that the voice processor type is iden-
tified. After the VP is physically connected, the system senses which type it is.
2.12 As with previous versions, a voice processor connected to an Inter-Tel Axxess platform
auto-enables when the system boots up. To avoid the risk of overwriting an established data-
base with default values, Inter-Tel recommends connecting the voice processor first, then con-
necting with a remote mode session of DB Programming, and then saving.
2.13 To save a voice processor database in remote mode:
Connect the voice processing unit equipment to the system in accordance with Inter-Tel
1.
installation instructions. See the applicable installation manual.
In remote mode, launch Session Manager and start a DB Programming session.
