4.163 T1 Card Firmware

4.164 For T1Cs to work properly with version 4.0 and later system software, the T1Cs must
be at revision level 2.G or later. To use PRI or the Networking feature, a PRI daughter card
(part no. 550.2733) is required. In addition, the T1Cs must be equipped with specific firmware
on U4 and U5. To upgrade the T1C for version 5.0, use kit number 828.1459. To upgrade the
T1C for versions 5.1 and 5.2, use kit number 828.1506, which contains part no.s 827.8980
(U4) and 827.8981 (U5). To upgrade the T1C for versions 5.3, 5.4, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 use kit
number 828.1552, which contains part no.s 827.9831 (U4) and 827.9832 (U5). To upgrade the
E1C for versions 5.3, 5.4, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 use kit number 828.1553, which contains part
no.s 827.9833 (U4) and 827.9834 (U5). Revision level 2.F or earlier T1Cs cannot be upgraded;
they must be replaced with new T1Cs. This information is summarized in the following chart:

for the T1C or the latest flash for the T1/E1 when using the standard T1 feature.
4.165 The T1 OPX Disconnect feature is available in all versions of T1/E1 flash and T1C
firmware (part no. 827.8664 or greater for U4 and part no. 827.8665 or greater for U5). To
remind you, a warning appears in DB Programming whenever the flag is changed. The warn-
ing states that the flag has no effect unless the correct T1 firmware is installed on the card.
4.166 The adjustable gain control is available in all versions of T1/E1 flash and T1C firmware
starting with 827.8787 (U4) and 827.8788 (U5). This is supported in system versions 4.4 and
5.1 and later.
