3.45 To equip a single port: To select the port type for a specific circuit, select the current
Port description and use the drop-down list box to scroll to the new port type. Then press
ENTER
3.46 To equip several circuits at once: Highlight
the circuits you want to equip. (To highlight a series
of items, hold down
and last item. To highlight two or more that are not
consecutive, hold down
desired items.) Then right-click and select
Change Type
Place a dot in the circuit type you want to assign and
select
3.47 If the new devices require extension numbers,
you will be prompted to select the first number in the
batch. The available extension numbers will be
assigned sequentially to the newly equipped circuits.
3.48 If you attempt to exceed the device limit of the
System, you will see an error message telling you the
operation cannot be performed.

Dual Single-Lines: If the port will be used for installing two single-line sets on an
SLA, select this option. The circuit numbers for the Single-Line ports appear in the Cir-
cuit 1 and Circuit 2 column. If you want to see the programming for these ports (as per-
formed in Devices and Feature Code programming, described on

Single-Line/DID: If the port will be used for installing one single-line set and one DID
trunk on an SLA, select this option. The circuit numbers for the Single-Line port

Dual DID: If the port will be used for installing two DID trunks on an SLA, select this

Keyset/System Serial: To configure the port for a phone with a system serial port,
select
Keyset/System Serial
announce.) The System Serial Port number automatically appears in the Circuit 2 col-
umn. If you want to see the programming for this port (as performed in Devices and
Feature Code programming, described on
Keyset/MDPM/System Serial: To configure a port for a phone with a PCDPM and a
MDPM that will be used as a system serial port and for off-hook voice announce and a
data device connection, select this option. The MDPM circuit number appears in the
Circuit 1 column and the System Serial Port number appears in the Circuit 3 column. If
you want to see the programming for this port (as performed in Devices and Feature
Code programming, described on
Single Port LSA: To configure a port for use with an IP Device, such as the IP Phone
Plus or Model 8660, select this option. The Loop Start Adapter (LSA) has the same
functionality as a standard loop trunk. To access the programming for this port (as per-
formed in Devices and Feature Codes\Trunks, described on
