SLC-16 Power Supplies
10.28 A power supply is required for each SLC-16 because the cards are not designed to pull
talk battery, ring, or message lamp power from the system power supply. Power supplies are
available that support one card or up to four cards.
10.29 There are two ways to connect the power supply to the SLC-16:

Install SLCs and SLC-16s in the slots to be used for AC-ringing single-line set and AC
playback device connections. The component sides of the cards must face right. Any
type of card may be installed in any of the first seven slots (in any chassis), and slots
may be skipped, if desired.
NOTE:
If, when first powered up, the actual cards installed do not exactly match the
default configuration, adjustments must be made in DB Programming. Circuit 1.1.1 (a
DKSC circuit) is preset as an administrator and as the primary attendant. If changing
card types (e.g., changing from an SLC to a DKSC), see the programming procedures
on
page 6-114
and to the information on
Connect the power supply directly to the board using the RINGING POWER SUPPLY
connector on the SLC-16. To connect the power supply to the SLC-16, simply insert the
connector on the power supply to the Ringing Power Supply connector on the card.
Note that the shape of the connector only allows you to insert the power supply connec-
tor in the proper direction.
