DIAGNOSTICS
19.14 The IP Networking application on the IPRC includes several tools for performing diag-
nostics when troubleshooting. These tools are separate from call processing and can display
only information local to the IPRC. There are also programming displays to control how the
call behaves. (See
19.15 The five groups of diagnostics tools are as follows:
Common Serial: Contains text displays such as a thread registry, an on-line monitor,
and network information.
IPRC-Specific Serial: Contains text displays that show the current status of a call, how
call processing has mapped the cross-point connections, and how call processing has
mapped the sessions and channels.
Web/HTML: Contains displays that have a graphical interface for ease of use.
Message Print: Allows you to see any information, warning, or debug messages when
a predetermined condition (e.g., a bus error) occurs.
Exception Log: Is a collection of Exception Log entries that signify major violations,
errors, or events. Major resets, minor resets, code-checker exceptions, bus errors, and
unhandled exceptions are examples of Exception Log entries.
