Executive Display and Professional Display Phone Speakerphone
12.7 Each Executive Display and Professional Display Phone has a built-in, integrated
speakerphone that allows on-hook dialing and handsfree operation on outside calls and inside
(intercom) calls. The Executive Display and Professional Display Phone speakerphone can be
used in standard mode or in enhanced mode which allows for full-duplex operation over a lim-
ited volume range (the range depends on trunk characteristics, typically the range is 1 to 3).
Enhanced speakerphones are explained on the next page.
12.8 The Executive Display and Professional Display Phone's speaker can also provide
background music (if an external music source is installed) and is used to receive pages.
12.9 A programming option can be used to disable the phone's speakerphone capabilities

Other Digital and Executone Phone Speakerphones
12.10 Standard Display, Associate Display, Axxess Basic Digital, Eclipse Basic Digital,
Model 8520, Model 8560, and Model 8500 Phones have a built-in speaker and microphone
that allow the user to answer intercom calls handsfree, dial while on hook, monitor calls, and
listen to background music.
12.11 Standard Display, Associate Display, Axxess Basic Digital, Eclipse Basic Digital,
Model 8520, Model 8560, and Model 8500 Phones can be programmed in individual station
programming to allow the use of system resources for standard and enhanced speakerphones.
Enhanced mode allows for full-duplex operation over a limited volume range (the range
depends on trunk characteristics, typically the range is 1 to 3). Enhanced speakerphones are
explained on the next page.
12.12 To provide standard and enhanced speakerphone resources for Standard Display, Asso-
ciate Display, Axxess Basic Digital, Eclipse Basic Digital, Model 8520, Model 8560, and
Model 8500 Phones, the system must be equipped with DKSC-16/DKSC-16+ cards and/or at
least one Options Card. Each DKSC-16/DKSC-16+ provides DSP circuitry for up to 10
switched speakerphones for Standard Display, Associate Display, Axxess Basic Digital,
Eclipse Basic Digital, Model 8500, Model 8520, and Model 8560 Phones. The Options Card
DSP circuitry must be designated in DB Programming for system-wide speakerphone
resources. (There are up to four DSPs on each Options Card. Each DSP can be programmed to
support up to eight speakerphones. See
16+ and Options Card speakerphone resources are available system-wide to Standard Display,
Associate Display, Axxess Basic Digital, Eclipse Basic Digital, Model 8560, Model 8520, and
Model 8500 Phones on a first-come, first-served basis.
