D. CPU020 CARDS
10.10 CPU020/PCM or CPU020/PCMA card combination kits are available. Each kit
includes a CPU020 card, a PCM or PCMA card, the proper boot ROM and memory map PAL,
and any additional memory components required. The combined cards are shipped pre-assem-
bled, with the current system software already loaded. See
the various CPU020/PCM and CPU020/PCMA combinations.
NOTE:
Server, a CPU020/PCM/EAC is required.
NOTE:
only for on-premises applications. The PCMA-F or PCMA-FS version may be used for off-pre-
mises applications.
CPU020 Card with EAC Connector
10.11 The newer CPU020 cards have an 80-pin connector that attaches to Ethernet Adapter
Card (EAC). In addition, the PCM faceplate has an extra cutout for the RJ45 connector on the
EAC.
10.12 The EAC supports 10Base-T and can be connected to the CP Server via an industry-
standard category 5 crossed patch cable (813.1724). The cable is 14 feet (4.2 meters) in length
allowing some freedom of placement. Per IEEE 802.3 10Base-T specification, this cable can
be up to 328 feet (100 meters) long. For complete information about the CP Server, see
dix C — CP

MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
As of version 8.0, a CPC or CP Server is required for all installations. To use the CP
CPU020-D/PCM-D Card: The CPU020-D/PCM-D (a.k.a. CPU 256) can be used only
in single-chassis or dual-chassis systems.
CPU020-Q/PCM-F Card and CPU020-X Card/PCM-F Card: In tri-chassis and
quad-chassis system configurations, a CPU020-Q/PCM-F card (a.k.a. CPU 512 Master)
must be used in the first (master) chassis, and a CPU020-X/PCM-F card (a.k.a. CPU
512 Slave) must be used in the third (slave) chassis. See
ings showing multiple-chassis system configurations.
CPU020-A/PCMA-F Card, CPU020-A/PCMA-FS Card, and CPU020-A/PCMA-C
Card: For an ATM system, a CPU020-A/PCMA card is required to connect to the ATM
Switch and CP Server via CAT5 or MMF cables. The type of card required depends on
the type of connectors available on the ATM Switch.
The PCMA-C does not have power cross and lightning protection and should be used
Server.
As of version 8.0, a CP Server is required for 512 and higher systems.
