MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Turn ON the AC POWER switch and observe the top (green) LED on each DKSC,
DKSC-16, AKSC, EKSC, SLC, SLC-16, LGC, LSC, T1C, E1/PRI, T1/E1/PRI, IPC,
IPRC, and OPC installed in the equipment chassis. If, after one minute, the top LED on
every card is lit, proceed to step 2. If not, follow these steps:
Remove all cards that do not have a lit green LED and check them for shorted or
a.
loose components, bent pins, etc.
NOTE:
DO NOT remove or insert the CPC or CPU card with the system power
turned on.
Re-insert the cards one at a time and check the top LED again. If the LED is not lit
b.
after one minute, replace the defective card.
Connect each labeled female amphenol-type connector to the 50-pin male connector on
the corresponding card. Use caution when tightening the screws. If the screw attaching
the connector to the card is too tight, the connector is not seat properly. With a U.S. sys-
tem, you can use connector clips in place of the screw as an alternative. These clips are
available from Inter-Tel in packs of 25 (part no. 828.1475). With a European system,
ensure supplied locking clip is fitted.
For T1/PRI or E1/PRI trunks, connect each labeled line cord or ribbon cable to the T1
or E1 jack or DB15 connector on the corresponding T1, E1/PRI, or T1/E1/PRI card.
NOTE:
Before connecting any T1/PRI or E1/PRI trunks to the T1, E1/PRI, or T1/E1/
PRI cards in the chassis, always make sure the system power is turned ON. All T1/PRI
or E1/PRI trunks should always be disconnected from their cards before turning the sys-
tem power ON or OFF.
If attaching an output device or other peripheral device to the equipment chassis, con-
nect the cables to the corresponding card(s). If attaching a Voice Processing PC, see the
instructions beginning on
Secure each cable to the chassis with a cable tie, leaving enough slack so that the card
can be removed or replaced if necessary.
Replace the chassis top and front panels.
