3.75 The loop and ground start trunk cards (LSC, LSC-D, LGC, and LGC-D) are shown in
the list. To program a port on one of the trunk cards, double-click on that card to display its
ports.
3.76 To equip a single port: To select the port type for a specific circuit, select the current
Port description and use the drop-down list box to scroll to the new port type. Then press
or click on another field to save the change.

3.77 To equip several ports at once: Highlight the ports you want to equip. (To highlight a
series of items, hold down
while selecting the first and last item. To highlight two or

3.78 If the new devices require extension numbers, you will be prompted to select the first

number in the batch. The available extension numbers will be assigned sequentially to the
newly equipped ports.
3.79 If you attempt to exceed the device limit of the System, you will see an error message
telling you the operation cannot be performed.
3.80 When the Loop Start Card/Daughter cards (LSC-Ds) are programmed in DB Program-
ming, and there are LSCs installed in the associated slots and vice versa, the cards are not
allowed to come online. They are, instead, logged as "Ignored" when plugged in. This change
prevents a potential one-way audio problem where the system fails to allocate the necessary
voice channels for a hardware board. The problem only exists for hardware boards that do not
match the DB Programming board type.
