H. WORKING WITH THE MODEM
52.44 The Call Processing Card (CPC) has a built-in modem. This modem allows remote
users to access DB Programming. It also functions as a serial port, used for SMDR, Message
Print, etc. If necessary, System Administrators can enable, disable, or reset the modem and pro-
gram a DSS/BLF button to reflect the modem status. (For information about connecting to the

52.45 To enable/disable a modem:
Enter the Modem Enable (9866) or Modem Disable (9867) feature code. The display

shows ENABLE (DISABLE) MODEM EXT #.
Enter the extension of the modem (local or off-node) to enable/disable. The display

shows MODEM ENABLED (DISABLED).
52.46 If disabled, the modem is placed into DND. In the disabled state, the modem rejects all
