Numbering Plan: The system supports extensions with a maximum of five digits. It is
important to design a network numbering plan that can support all devices in the net-
work.
DB Programming Export/Import: Creation of new devices automatically causes the
system to export extensions to the network, therefore, it is extremely critical that the
system administrator devise a numbering scheme for ALL 99 nodes.
Networking Resources (IP and PRI): You must be aware of the necessary Primary
Rate Interface (PRI) and voice resources needed to maintain a 99-node network. For
voice resources, all nodes must have the appropriate IP bandwidth to support the maxi-
mum IP networking calls.
OAI Applications: A new version of the CT Gateway Server is necessary to support
more than 63 nodes. The CT Gateway and individual nodes may take a performance
degradation based on how OAI applications are added to the network. You must be
aware of the number of OAI applications that connect to the CT Gateway. If many OAI
applications are connected directly to an individual node, this could cause performance
degradation on those nodes.
NOTE:
it is attached to a 99-node network. When configuring a 99-node network, this could
increase the OAI data by 50%. For example, the Attendant Console application
requests a large amount of data at power-up. Multiple occurrences of the Attendant
Console application in the network, along with fully populated nodes, could cause a
50% increase of data during the Attendant Console power-up sequence.

T1/E1 PRI Networking—Networking via T1/E1 PRI remains the same as in previ-
ous version, except for the increased node capacity. In DB Programming, you can
number network nodes from 1 to 99.
IP Networking—IP Networking remains the same as in previous versions, except
for the increased node capacity. To set up IP Networking, you must assign a
P6XXX extension for each Internet Protocol Resource Card (IPRC). If the IPRC
does not have a Networking voice resource, you must use another IPRC and
enable at least one Networking voice resource. The existence of the Networking
voice resource allows the IPRC to communicate with external nodes from IP pri-
vate networking.
The CT Gateway Server must meet Inter-Tel's performance requirement when
