Is there continuity?
Y E S - T e s t PGM-FI main relay 1 (Fl MAIN)
(see page 22-72). If the relay is OK, update the PCM
if it does not have the latest software, or substitute
a k n o w n - g o o d PCM (see page 11-6), then recheck. If
the s y m p t o m / i n d i c a t i o n goes away w i t h a k n o w n -
g o o d PCM, replace the original PCM (see page
1 1 - 2 1 9 ) . •
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between PGM-FI main
relay 1 (Fl MAIN) and the PCM (E5).B
40. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4 1 . Measure voltage between body g r o u n d and PCM
connector terminal A4.

Y E S — G o t o step 50.
N O — G o t o step 42.
42. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
43. Remove the left kick panel (see page 20-45). Then
remove PGM-FI main relay 1 (Fl MAIN) (A) f r o m the
under-dash fuse/relay box.
44. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
45. Measure voltage between PGM-FI main relay 1
(Fl MAIN) 4P connector t e r m i n a l No. 1 and body
g r o u n d .
