Command Reference Guide
remote-as <as-number>
Use the remote-as command to specify the BGP autonomous system (AS) to which the neighbor belongs,
adding an entry to the BGP neighbor table. Use the no form of this command to return to default settings.
Syntax Description
<as-number>
Default Values
By default, no BGP neighbors are defined.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and Total Access 900
Series units.

Usage Examples
The following example configures a remote AS number of 200 for this neighbor:
(config)#router bgp-neighbor 192.22.73.101
(config-bgp-neighbor)#remote-as 200
61200990L1-35E
Specifies the AS number. This number must be different from the AS number of
the local router (which is defined using the router bgp command). Range: 1 to
router bgp
