Command Reference Guide
attribute <policynumber>
Use the attribute command to define attributes for the associated IKE policy. Multiple attributes can be
created for a single IKE policy. Once you enter this command, you are in the IKE Policy Attribute mode.

Default Values
By default, no attribute is defined.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000R, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and Total Access 900
Series units.

Functional Notes
Multiple attributes on an IKE policy are ordered by number (with the lowest number representing the
highest priority).
Usage Examples
The following example defines a policy attribute (10) and takes you into the IKE Policy Attributes:
(config-ike)#attribute 10
(config-ike-attribute)#

Assigns a number (range: 1 to 65,535) to the attribute policy. The number is the
attribute's priority number and specifies the order in which the resulting VPN
proposals get sent to the far end.
This command takes you to the (config-ike-attribute)# prompt. From here, you
can configure the settings for the attribute as outlined in the section
Attributes Command Set
