[ no ] ipsec option dpd
Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.
Enables IPSec dead peer detection (DPD) for the current virtual router. With DPD enabled,
the router detects when connectivity between the router and an IPSec peer has been
terminated. The router then sets the status for the tunnel and the upper layer interfaces
to down, which enables routing protocols to take alternate routes. Also, administrators
can then take corrective action. The no version restores the default DPD setting, disabled.
