IPv6 MBGP Commands

Multiprotocol BGP (MBGP) is an enhanced BGP that enables the multicast routing policy throughout the Internet and
connecting multicast topologies between BGP and autonomous systems (AS). FTOS MBGP is implemented as per IETF
RFC 1858.

address family ipv6 unicast

This command changes the context to subsequent address family identifier (SAFI).

To remove SAFI context, use the no address family ipv6 unicast command.

All subsequent commands apply to this address family after you execute this command. You

aggregate-address ipv6-address prefix-length [advertise-map
map-name] [as-set] [attribute-map map-name] [summary-only]

Parameters
ipv6-address
prefix-length
– adjusts BGP timers for a specific peer or peer group.
Enter the keyword ipv6 to specify the address family as IPv6.
Enter the keyword unicast to specify multicast as SAFI.
Introduced
Enter the IPv6 address in the x:x:x:x::x format followed by the prefix
length in the /x format. The range is /0 to /128.
NOTE: The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal fields of
zeros.
