Usage The administrative distance indicates the trust value of incoming packets. A low administrative
Information distance indicates a high trust rate. A high value indicates a lower trust rate. For example, a
weight of 255 is interpreted that the routing information source is not trustworthy and should be
ignored.

To return to the default values, use the no distribute-list prefix-list-name
in [interface] command.

For a1- Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information.
For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords port-
channel followed by a number. For the C-Series and S-
Series, the range is 1 to 128. For the E-Series, the range is 1 to
255 for TeraScale and 1 to 512 for ExaScale.
For a SONET interface, enter the keyword sonet followed by
the slot/port information.
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port
information.
For a VLAN, enter the keyword vlan followed by a number
from 1 to 4094.
