ip msdp mesh-group

Configure a peer to be a member of a mesh group.
E-Series, Z-Series, S4810
Syntax ip msdp mesh-group {name} {peer address}
To remove the peer from a mesh group, use the no ip msdp mesh-group {name}
{peer address} command.

Usage A MSDP mesh group is a mechanism for reducing SA flooding, typically in an intra-domain
Information setting. When some subset of a domain's MSDP speakers are fully meshed, they can be
configured into a mesh-group. If member X of a mesh-group receives a SA message from an
MSDP peer that is also a member of the mesh-group, member X accepts the SA message and
forwards it to all of its peers that are not part of the mesh-group. However, member X can not
forward the SA message to other members of the mesh-group.
