6. INSPECTING THE BACKLASH OF THE DRIVE GEAR
(1) Using the vise, secure the oil pump.
(2) Using the dial gauge, measure the backlash between the drive
gear and driven gear. If exceeding the permissible limit, replace
the oil pump.
