MOUNTING THE MAIN IDLE GEAR
Mount the main idle gear shaft to the main idle gear.
Mount the thrust plate.
After applying engine oil to the seating surface and threads of the
idle gear shaft mounting bolt, orient an oil hole in the idle gear
shaft to the oil pan (downward direction) and synchronize timing
between the crankshaft gear and the main idle gear before instal-
lation.
