Prepare a reservoir and a waste cloth because fuel spills when
removing the pressure feed pipe.

REMOVING THE PRESSURE FEED PIPE
Unfasten the nuts (2 pcs.), and remove the clips (2 pcs.).
Loosen the nut to remove the pressure feed pipe from the com-
mon rail and supply pump.
The pressure feed pipes are nonreusable.
Be careful when handling the pipe because the fuel pipe may
be deformed.
SETTING THE COMPRESSION STROKE TOP DEAD CENTER
OF No.1 CYLINDER
Unfasten the bolts (2 pcs.) securing the flywheel housing cover,
and remove the flywheel housing cover from the flywheel hous-
ing.
Turn the crankshaft in the running direction of the engine (coun-
terclockwise viewed from the flywheel side) to align the timing
mark put on the periphery of the flywheel with "1" through the
check window of the flywheel housing.
