MOUNTING THE THERMOSTAT
Replace with the new gasket and mount the thermostat and cool-
ant pipe A to the thermostat case with 3 bolts.
Tightening Torque:
28.5 N·m {291 kgf·cm, 21 lbf·ft}
A wrongly-mounted gasket causes coolant leakage. Make
sure that the gasket sandwiches the thermostat flange when
mounting.
Assemble the thermostat with its jiggle valve facing up.
Mount the coolant pipe A to the bracket with the bolt.
Tightening Torque:
28.5 N·m {291 kgf·cm, 21 lbf·ft}
Connect the heater pipe to the heater hose (left side) with the bolt
and clamp.
Tightening Torque:
28.5 N·m {291 kgf·cm, 21 lbf·ft}
