DISASSEMBLING FLYWHEEL ASSEMBLY
1. REMOVING THE RING GEAR
(1) Use the burner to heat the periphery of a ring gear to approxi-
mately 20C {68F}.
! CAUTION
Do not touch with bare hands while the ring gear and flywheel are
hot.

(2) Use the brass bar and a hammer to tap the periphery around the
ring gear to remove the ring gear from the flywheel.

1. MOUNTING THE RING GEAR
(1) Use the burner to heat the periphery of a ring gear to approxi-
mately 200C {392F}.
! CAUTION
Do not touch with bare hands while the ring gear and flywheel are
hot.

(2) Quickly mount the ring gear to the flywheel with a chamfered face
positioned to face the flywheel.
