BRAKE
BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER (Double Cab)
REMOVAL
1.
DISCONNECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH CONNEC-
TOR
NOTICE:
S
Do not adjust the brake booster push rod.
S
Do not change the combination of the diameter con-
verting unit and brake.
2.
TAKE OUT FLUID WITH SYRINGE
NOTICE:
Do not let brake fluid remain on a painted surface. Wash it
off immediately.
3.
DISCONNECT BRAKE LINES
(a)
Using SST, disconnect the 5 brake lines from the master
cylinder and 3−way.
SST
Torque: 15 N·m (155 kgf·cm, 11 ft·lbf)
(b)
Remove the front brake tube No. 1 from the master cylin-
der and 3−way.
4.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Remove the 2 nuts, 3−way and brake master cylinder.
Torque: 13 N·m (130 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf)
