DISASSEMBLY
1.
Using SST, remove the back−up lamp switch.

If the driven gear is damaged, replace it.

Using a plastic hammer, remove the deflector.

Remove the plug from the front case.

REMOVE BACK−UP LAMP SWITCH
SST 09817−16011
REMOVE SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN GEAR
Remove the bolt and speedometer sensor.
Remove the clip from the speedometer sensor.
Remove the driven gear from the speedometer sensor.
Remove the O−ring from the speedometer sensor.
Check the teeth of the speedometer driven gear.
REMOVE EXTENSION HOUSING DEFLECTOR
REMOVE DRAIN PLUG
REMOVE FILLER PLUG
REMOVE PLUG
REMOVE RELEASE FORK SUPPORT
