MANUAL TRANSMISSION –
11. REMOVE ENGINE REAR MOUNTING AND BRACKET
(a) Remove the four bolts from the engine rear mount–
ing.
(b) Raise the transmission slightly by raising the engine
with a jack.
(c) Remove the four bolts from the support member
and remove the mounting bracket.
(d) Remove the engine rear mounting from the trans–
mission.
12. PLACE PIECE OF WOOD BETWEEN ENGINE OIL PAN
AND FRONT CROSSMEMBER
HINT: Tape a piece of wood or such about 20 mm (0.79
in.) thick on the front crossmember.
13. LOWER TRANSMISSION
14. REMOVE STARTER
Lay the starter alongside the engine.
15. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE BOLTS
16. REMOVE REMAINING TRANSMISSION BOLTS
