Connect a voltmeter to data link connector 1 ter–
minals TT and E, . Does TT terminal voltage vary
with changes in the throttle opening?
Yes
With the engine idling, are there 12 V be–
tween ECM terminals S4 and E,, when trans–
fer lever is shifted from H4 to L4?
Yes
• No.4 solenoid stuck
• Faulty transfer
