In digital electronics, logic circuits are generally divided into two classes according to their
polarity - positive logic and negative logic. With reference to positive logic, logical 1 state
represents the high voltage level and logic 0 represents the low voltage level. With reference to
negative logic, logical 1 state represents the low voltage level and logic 0 state represents the
high voltage level.
