A.2 Configuration Accesses Using Direct Method
For systems implementing address map A on the MPC8240, there is an alternate method
for generating type 0 configuration cycles called the direct access method. For more
information about other configuration accesses, see Section 7.4.5.2, "Accessing the PCI
Configuration Space." The direct access configuration method bypasses the
CONFIG_ADDR translation step as shown in Figure A-4.
