Usage Guidelines
QSP 1, 2, 3, and 4 are pre-defined in the switch configuration and cannot be deleted. In addition, only
the parameters specified with this command are configurable for each profile at this time.
QSP 1 is the default profile that is assigned to every QSI. To select a different QSP for a specific
instance, use the
The default WRED profile (WRP 1) is assigned to each QSet profile (QSP) and to each queue profile
within the QSet. If the default settings are not sufficient, use this command to select a different WRP
for the QSet.
The WRP ID or name specified with this command must already exist in the switch configuration. Use
the
qos wred
command to create a new profile, if necessary.
There is only one QSI per port or LAG ID and only one QSP associated with a QSI. However, the
same QSP may be associated with more than one QSI. As a result, when parameter values are changed
for a specific QSP, the changes are applied to all the QSIs associated with that QSP.
When a port becomes a member of a link aggregate, the QSI/QSP for that port takes on the QSP
attributes of the LAG QSI/QSP. In other words, a parent/child relationship is established between the
port QSI (child) and LAG QSI (parent).
When a port leaves a LAG, the port QSI reverts back to using QSP 1 (the default), not the QSP to
which the port QSI was originally assigned.
