6. Rear Bumper
A: REMOVAL
1. WAGON MODEL
1) Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2) Remove the bolt in the wheel house (both sides)
and the clip on the lower side of the bumper.
3) Remove the rear combination light assembly on
both sides. <Ref. to LI-26, REMOVAL, Rear Com-
bination Light Assembly.>
4) Remove the screw and two clips. (both sides)
5) Remove the floor box.
6) Remove the rear skirt trim.
Rear Bumper
7) Remove the cap (A) on the rear quarter lower
trim on both sides, and loosen four nuts.
8) Disconnect the license plate light connector, and
remove the rear bumper.
9) Remove the energy absorber foam from bumper
beam.
CAUTION:
The energy absorbing foam is easily broken.
When removing the energy absorber foam, do
not apply excessive force.

10) Remove the bolt.
