18.Roof Molding
A: REMOVAL
1) Peel the end of the roof molding, and slide the in-
ner clip in the direction of the arrow using a flat tip
screwdriver to remove.
Right side: Slide towards the rear of the vehicle.
Left side: Slide towards the front of the vehicle.
Sedan model: 6 locations
Wagon model (models without roof rail): 8 loca-
tions
Wagon model (models with roof rail): 7 loca-
tions
2) For the sedan model, remove the four clips on
the rear pillar.
Peel the rear glass side of the roof molding, and in-
sert a thin plate etc. of approx. 0.5 mm (0.020 in)
between the roof molding and the glass face, to re-
move the claw of the inner clip.

B: INSTALLATION
1) Remove the clip of the roof and rear pillar (sedan
model) from the roof molding, and attach to the ve-
hicle side.
CAUTION:
Always replace clips that were damaged during
removal of the roof molding.

2) Push the front end of the roof molding against
the front window molding, and insert the forward
positioning pin into the body side cap.

3) Push from the top being careful not to warp the
roof molding, to install the roof molding to the body.
