AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
D: ASSEMBLY
1) Press-fit the reduction drive gear to shaft.
2) Press-fit the new ball bearing into reduction drive
gear.
3) Apply ATF onto the seal ring outer surface and
shaft grooves.
4) Apply ATF to new seal rings, then install.

E: INSPECTION
• Rotate the bearing by hand, and make sure it ro-
tates smoothly.
• Check each part to make sure that there are no
holes, cuts, or attached dust.
• Inspect the extension end play, and adjust it to
the standard value. <Ref. to 4AT-77, ADJUST-
MENT, Transfer Clutch.>
