Parameter
ip-address: The IP address of the computer to be bound.
netmask: The netmask of the computer to be bound. If this parameter is not entered,
a nature mask is adopted.
Description
Using the static-bind ip-address command, you can configure a statically binding IP
address. Using the undo static-bind ip-address command, you can cancel the
statically binding IP address.
By default, no statically binding IP address is configured.
As for some given clients such as WWW servers, it is necessary to bind the fixed IP
addresses, that is, to bind a certain MAC address with a certain IP address. When
the client with this MAC address applies for a DHCP address, the DHCP server will
allocate this fixed IP address to this client.
When configuring binding, it can be regarded that the binding is a special DHCP
address pool. The static-bind mac-address command must be used along with the
static-bind ip-address command in pair.
For related commands, see dhcp server ip-pool, static-bind mac-address.
Example
# Bind the client PC whose MAC address is 00-00-e0-3f-03-05 with the IP address
