Syntax
mfr timer ack seconds
undo mfr timer ack
View
Serial interface view
Parameter
seconds: Set the time that the single link of the multilink Frame Relay waits for the
remote end to acknowledge Hello messages, in the range from 1 to 10 seconds. By
default, it is 4 seconds.
Description
Using the mfr timer ack command, you can configure the time that the Frame Relay
bundle link waits for the remote end to acknowledge the Hello message. Using the
undo mfr timer ack command, you can restore the default value of the time that the
Frame Relay bundle link waits for the remote end to acknowledge the Hello message.
Each link of the multilink Frame Relay maintains one Ack timer which is started when
the local end sends a Hello message. If no acknowledge is received from the remote
end after the timer times out, one timeout occurs, and the Hello message will be sent
when the Hello timer times out next time. If the number of times the Ack timer times out
exceeds the maximum value, you will know that fault occurs on the link.
Only after you use the command link-protocol fr mfr to associate the Frame Relay
bundle link interface with the Frame Relay bundle, can this command be configured.
For related commands, see mfr timer hello, mfr retry.
Example
# Set the time that the Frame Relay bundle link waits for the remote end to
acknowledge the Hello message to 6 seconds.
