When running PPP in the lines of low speed WAN, the TCP header accounts for a
large proportion of the data being transmitted, therefore TCP header compression
can be used to improve the efficiency of data transmission.

3.2.3 tcp timer fin-timeout

Syntax
tcp timer fin-timeout seconds

Parameter
seconds: Value of the TCP finwait timer in seconds, ranging from 76 to 3600 seconds.
The default value is 675 seconds.
Description
Using the tcp timer fin-timeout command, you can configure the TCP finwait timer.
Start the finwait timer when the connection status changes from FIN_WATI_1 to
FIN_WAIT_2. If no FIN message is received before the finwait timer is timed out, the
TCP connection will be terminated.
This parameter should be configured under the guidance of the technical support
engineer.
