6.1.1 cbs
Syntax
cbs [ inbound | outbound ] burst-size
undo cbs [ inbound | outbound ]
View
Frame Relay class view
Parameter
inbound: Set the Bc of incoming packets. This parameter is valid only when the Frame
Relay traffic policing is enabled on the interface.
outbound: Set the Bc of outgoing packets. This parameter is valid only when Frame
Relay traffic shaping is enabled on the interface.
burst-size: Committed burst size, in bits. If the incoming committed burst size is set,
the value is in the range from 0 to 16000000. If the outgoing committed burst size is set,
the value is in the range from 300 to 16000000. By default, the burst-size is 56000 bits.
Description
Using the cbs command, you can configure the committed burst size (Bc) of the Frame
Relay PVC. Using the undo cbs command, you can restore the default Bc of the Frame
Relay PVC.
Committed burst size is the packet traffic that the Frame Relay PVC commits to send
within the time interval Tc (Tc = Bc / CIR). When there is no congestion on the network,
the Frame Relay network can guarantee the successful transmission of the traffic.
Note:
Generally, the value of Bc cannot be less than 12000 bits.
For related commands, see ebs, cir allow, cir.
Example
# Set the committed burst size to 64000 bits.
