3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00
By default, the length of the stopbits is 1 bit.
When the asynchronous serial interface works in flow mode or terminal server mode,
the two ends of the link interact after the setup of a physical connection. The link is
set up after the router sends configuration command and operating parameters of link
layer to the terminal. The stopbit length should be set if the default 1 does not apply
to the terminal (e.g., in terminal server).
The stopbits of AUX interface cannot be set to 1.5. Otherwise, the system will prompt
"Unsupported stopbits for AUX", which indicates the AUX interface does not support
the stopbit to be 1.5.
For related commands, see parity, databits.

Parameter
seconds: the time interval for sending keepalive packets on the serial interface. This
value ranges 0 to 32767 in seconds. 0 indicates that no keepalive packets are
allowed to be sent, equal to the undo timer hold command in function. By default,
seconds is 10 seconds by default.
Description
Using the timer hold command, you can configure the time interval for sending
keepalive packets on the serial interface. Using the undo timer hold command, you
can disable the serial interface to send the keepalive packets.
On a low-speed line, the parameter seconds cannot be set too small because it may
take a long time to send the large packets on a low-speed line and consequently the
sending and receiving of keepalive packets will be delayed. If the interface has not
