3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00
Parameter
mac-address: The virtual MAC address of SDLC on the interface.
sdlc-address:
Description
Using the sdlc mac-map local command, you can configure the local virtual MAC
address of SDLC. Using the undo sdlc mac-map local command, you can cancel
the local virtual MAC address of SDLC.
By default, this function is disabled.
DLSw was designed for the LLC2 protocol at first. The mapping of virtual circuits is
established through the MAC address. To forward the SDLC message, you should
specify the local MAC address and the opposite MAC address for the SDLC virtual
circuit, which would be used when converting the SDLC message to the LLC2
message.
The sdlc mac-map local command must be configured before configuring DLSw.
Each interface is configured with a shared SDLC virtual MAC address, meanwhile, it
supports the SDLC virtual MAC addresses related to each DSLC node (SDLC
Address), and the configuration is similar to DSLC Partner.
When you configure the SDLC virtual MAC addresses related to SDLC nodes (SDLC
Address), you must configure the SDLC node (SDLC Address) first, otherwise, the
following information will appear:
no such SDLC address was found
