they will compare the IP address of the interface received the query packet with
the IP address of the interface sent the query packet. Router with the minimum IP
address in the subnet is selected as Querier. Other routers become
Non-Queriers.
All Non-Queriers start an Other Querier Present Interval timer, which will
reconfigure as long as it receives query packet from Querier. If the timer is timeout,
this indicates that a new round of election has started. All routers become
Queriers again.

igmp timer query seconds
undo igmp timer query

Parameter
seconds: Query interval at which IGMP query packet is sent, ranging from 1 to
65535 seconds. The default value is 125.
Description
Using the igmp timer query command, you can configure the query interval that
the router sends IGMP packet. Using the undo igmp timer query command, you
can restore the default value of the query interval that the router sends IGMP
packets.
Query interval can be modified according to actual application of the network. On
the point to point interface.
Example
# Modify the time interval at which IGMP query packet on multicast router
Ethernet0 interface is sent, as 60 seconds.
[3Com-Ethernet0] igmp timer query 60
