3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00
Parameter
seconds: Interval for the attempt of originating the next call, ranging from 1 to 604800
seconds. By default, the interval is 300 seconds.
Description
Using the dialer autodial-interval command, you can configure the interval for the
DCC auto-dial attempts. Using the undo dialer autodial-interval command, you can
restore the default interval.
This command should be used along with the keyword auto-dial in the dialer route
command. After this command is configured, DCC will automatically attempt to dial
once every period of time specified by the parameter seconds until a connection is
established. Auto-dial does not require packets for triggering, and it will not
automatically disconnect due to idle timeout once a connection has been established.
In other words, the configuration of the dialer timer idle command is invalid for it.
For related commands, see dialer route.
Example
# Set the DCC auto-dial interval on Serial 0 to 60 seconds.
[3Com-Serial0] dialer autodial-interval 60
