Parameter
ip-address: The IP address of a static ARP mapping entry, in dotted decimal format.
mac-address: The MAC address of an Ethernet. Its format is XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX,
where XX is in hex.
Description
Using the arp dynamic command, you can manually configure a static ARP mapping
entry. Using the undo arp dynamic command, you can cancel a static ARP mapping
entry of a specified address.
By default, the dynamic ARP mapping is adopted.
If you want to bind a packet whose destination address is not in this segment of a
specified Ethernet interface so that the packet with this IP address can be forwarded
through this gateway, or if you want to filter some invalid IP addresses, you need to
manually configure the static ARP mapping entries.
The static ARP map item is always valid when the router works normally, and the
valid interval for the ARP map item is 20 minutes.
When the IP address of the interface changes, you need to reconfigure the ARP
mapping entries manually.
