sdlc xid sdlc-address nodeid
undo sdlc xid sdlc-address
View
Synchronous interface view
Parameter
sdlc-address: SDLC Address.
Nodeid: Node ID of SDLC, 4 bytes long integer. The first 12 bit is the network ID. The
last 20 bits is the node ID.
Description
Using the sdlc xid command, you can configure the XID of SDLC. Using the undo
sdlc xid command, you can cancel the XID of SDLC.
By default, this function is disabled.
XID is used to identify a device in SNA. There are two device types: PU2.0 and
PU2.1. PU2.1 is already configured and can recognize each other though exchanging
XID. Therefore this command is not for PU2.1 devices. Whereas there is no XID for
PU2.0, you need to specify XID for PU2.0 devices.
