password: The plain text authentication word, in the range of 1 ~ 8 characters except
for blank space and non-print characters.
Description
Using the ospf authentication-mode simple command, you can configure the plain
text authentication word of the OSPF at the interface. After setting up the OSPF
program authentication, the routing information sent by this interface to the
neighboring router includes authentication information. Using the undo ospf
authentication-mode command, you can cancel the authentication that has been
set.
By default, no authentication is set.
The authentication value will be written to the OSPF packet. It is necessary to
guarantee parameter consistency between neighboring routers at this interface.
